stand on the
threshold or vanish
into the
outer edge–
wholly alive, everywhere
at once, endlessly
Colleen is back with #tanka Tuesday! for this week’s words, beginning and consume, I’ve written a shadorma inspired by one of Sue Vincent’s “Choices” photos, above.
A lovely Shadorma. Quite haunting and lilting. ❤

The poem shoots us from a precarious point on the edge, to the entire world horizon. And the colours of the painting are so beautifully wintry, a sleeping landscape.

Thanks Jane. That’s exactly the feeling Sue’s photo gave me.

Your words gave me a slight sensation of vertigo.

Through your words, I imagine climbing the far distant mountains of Sue’s photo. The mountains that are “only” clouds.
