Concise and beautiful. It’s like the last one of the three she gave me, which ended with ‘winter wind’ which I didn’t include because it didn’t seem to make sense. Now I know that somewhere, it did.
You have been getting extreme heat, we have been cooler… hoping the sun will come out and warm us! ☀️ Funny how we always long for what we do not have until we get it and then we are ready for a change! I like your painting and the images your poem creates of winter gardens. 🌸
Thanks Jill. I never know what to expect with the weather day to day. But it’s true, we often seem to be out of season in what we wish for…all the plants are loving the rain at least!

Thanks Jane.
I was wondering at first why she kept insisting on winter too but after it all came together it made sense.

It might have been interference too. It didn’t make any sense in my poem. Unless…

I agree with Jane–concise and beautiful–and sort of dreamy.

Thanks Merril. The world seems hazy and dreamy today, so perhaps that’s part of it.

This is a lovely poem, Kerfe. I didn’t know you had a second blog.
