a hidden landscape
appears, as if mythical–
called from distances
neither young nor old—humming
through the breathing of the wind
For Sue Vincent’s photo prompt, above.
The wind is loud in my psyche these days.

That, my friend, looks like an eye. Or something coming back through a black hole. If there is wind in your psyche there is space, and open space in the psyche means receptivity to more…

Thanks Jade. I did not see it until you mentioned it, and Jane also. but obviously it’s there. We’ll see what the wind blows in.

Are the skies opening to draw up the world or is it the other way round? Wind is always the prelude to some message. Agree with Lisa, that is the eye of the world.

I think the jury’s still out on that one. I was not thinking of an eye (although I’ve certainly used it enough times as a motif), but there it is. You’re right, there’s a message there somewhere.

I wonder if it’s laughing or crying?

There could be tears in there, but of laughter or sadness?

So good, Kerfe. The painting looks embryonic to me. Wonderful movement in both poem and image.

Thanks Diana. It’s interesting how much you don’t see in what you’ve done until someone points it out.

It does seem like the eye of the world–a cosmic wind. Wonderful!

There are so many ways to see this image, from a dragon’s eye to an island…but the title was perfectly chosen for your words.

The wind sings songs of the past, present, and future. We just have to figure out the words. I think you did that, Kerfe. Love this. ❤
