I really like H Schlagen’s work, and seeing his painting “2 Alchemisten und die Orakel.” which he posted yesterday, inspired my collage and consultation today. Is this not the why?
Awaken broken stars—bring
sacred joy home with rhythms
sailing open vast voices
surrounded by wild fools born
of the secrets dancing holes
in morning and night—is this
magic? Is this not the why?
I like that painting too. I wonder which of the three is the Oracle? And what is in the vision?
We three (you, Merril and I, the three witches) seem to have the same themes again, the distillation of the great why?

here’s his feedback to me
Appreciate feedback very much. The title translated to english means “2 alchemists and the oracles” Their are 2 oracles. The younger boy looks at the woman which is his oracle the old man looks at the world of ideas which is his oracle.
And we three look to our Oracle who is also female and has no form but is everywhere.

I’m going back to look at the painting. That sounds reasonable. Who is the woman looking at though? Which is her Oracle?

Perhaps ours.

More than likely. Funny the painter didn’t think to mention that, as if mothers don’t need oracles.

Interesting thought. I was wondering too. In fact my interpretation is only something which happens after finishing the work. It is not an idea being used for doing a concept. The process of creation itself is something evolving out of complete unconciousness.

I understand that–even if I start with an idea, what I end up with has its own ideas.

That’s like writing a poem and finding an image to illustrate rather than writing a poem about an image. Your initial thought is probably right—does an oracle need an oracle? Somebody has to know where he/she is going.

I like the painting, too. And yes, we the witches, looking to our Oracle, who is definitely feminine, and is everywhere and perhaps nowhere, and is all-knowing. We three were definitely on the same wavelength yesterday–secrets, dancing stars, magic, and time, or perhaps timeless magic.

Pondering on the image and your guiding words, I see the oracle speaking through the keyhole of the self (dark shape with a head, life-force within and sitting on the earth), pointing to the magical portal hidden beyond the layers of consciousness. The answer is in the stars. Very magical collage, Kerfe. ❤
P.S. I was listening to some Tibetan monk chants while evolving my comment. 🙂

Thanks Olga. That’s a good accompaniment to all portals.

If only the voices of those broken stars could return to us, bringing comfort.

They may not exactly bring comfort, but I think the voices are all around us…of course we aren’t always listening, or don’t know how to.
