It’s been quite a while since I’ve had an uninterrupted night’s sleep.
time shadows light,
singing together
with stormy winds–
watching ships run
between rain,
like whispers sleeping
in the stillness
of moon seas dreaming
the blue languages
of asking why
The Oracle speaks with such wisdom. “Singing together with stormy winds” where we can forget about the why from time to time ❤

Thanks Jade. She always opens a door.

I especially like “moon seas dreaming
the blue languages
of asking why”
We had some of the same words–Jane, too–variations on a theme by the three witches, perhaps.

Thanks Merril. I agree, the feeling in all 3 poems is the same, an invitation, a door opened.

That could only be an Oracle poem. She poses as many questions as she answers, but she opens the way for us to find the right answers. I was going to say how much I liked the dreaming of blue languages, but I see Merril has already said it 🙂

Thanks Jane. The Oracle does invite us, always, to look and to listen and find our own way.

Your poem reads like a description of my last night’s sleep. The sea was so loud even the ‘moon seas’ were restless.

I’ve had many of those restless nights lately.

These days, I think sleep is hard to come by everywhere. Thanks.

I was just talking about that with my husband. There’s a dark cloud over the world even when we are trying to be positive.

Yes. We aren’t sure when the storm will break, or what form it will take.

Ships rolling on a gray sea is a good metaphor for sleepless nights.

I’ve been sailing on them for quite some time now.
