For Colleen’s #tanka tuesday, using a quote supplied by Merril Smith, below, as inspiration.
“How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world.”― William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice
I’ve been in a creative funk the past few days, so I consulted the Oracle for some help with my shadorma sequence. And once again, I’m recycling some old art.
what lingers
within the workings
of a life
time dancing
home by remembering the
rhythms of the stars
roots seeding
trees that grow between
deep earthlight
beholding
to the cycles stitched full through
what shines from the heart
Deep roots and seedlings that grow to the stars. Lovely!

Thanks Jane. The Oracle knew what I needed today.

This is beautiful–time dancing and trees growing in deep earthlight. . .I love the art, too. The top makes me think of a fan that opens up and connects, full circle, but of course this one of flowers and spider webs is magical. And the second piece of art is just cozy–and I love the cat!

Thanks Merril. She gave me some great imagery yesterday. I’ve always loved crazy quilts, though I’ve never actually made one. That is a painting I did when I was briefly designing prints for textiles.

Kerfe, this was simply amazing. Your art as well as your Shadorma sequence. Something, I needed to hear today. ❤

Thanks Jade. I hope I will get back to creating some new art this week. But the chaos of the world makes it hard to focus right now.

You are welcome. For awhile, it was tough for me to do anything, even listen to music much, which is bad as I use it to elevate my mood. I just got a couple of new albums and have been listening to them while doing coloring with gel pens on 3 mini pictures my son’s gf gave me for Christmas. It’s been pulling me back into focus. I’m so glad you will be creating some new art this week ❤
