to recur,
move further away–
becoming
mote covered
constellated skies, stories
embroidered in blue
darkness fades
into emergence–
the tides of
return shaped
by manifestations of
ghost ships left unsailed
indigo
currents bridged between
symbol and
spirit—each
helix twisted round itself–
doubled, multiplied
For dVerse, a blue quadrille, hosted by Kim. The art is composed of two different painting experiments that accidentally fell on top of each other–I photographed them in a bunch of different ways, and added the blue with Photoshop.
“indigo currents bridged between symbol and spirit.” now that is gorgeous! 💝💝

I thought the white circles looked like ghosts before reading. That last picture looks like a celestial being (with a tail) directing a choir of ghosts. I like the tingles I get looking at this. I also like the idea of indigo currents.

A choir of ghosts…now that’s a thought. You could turn that into a story I know.

I’m captured with the line “ghost ships left unsailed”. It conjures thoughts of all sorts of mysterious poems!

This has a very mystic feel to it. I love the deep indigo in your collages and the way you have woven the word into your poem.

I love the depth of the blues in your artwork, Kerfe – indigo, together with cobalt, is my favourite blue – and how delightful is the thought of:
‘mote covered
constellated skies, stories
embroidered in blue’
and
‘the tides of
return shaped
by manifestations of
ghost ships left unsailed’.

I do like that image of the darkness as emergence as the tide changes, the worlds spin in and out, helices, and the mote-covered moon like a mother with her infant moons.

Thanks Jane. If it’s not birds, it’s the moon.

I can imagine those circles approaching in waves, spirits returning from their voyage.

All the circles and connections. . .I like “stories
embroidered in blue” and the ghost ships–which also have their stories–all of them connected in space and time.

Thanks Merril. I can’t escape the circles…or the moon it seems.
