visions of windsong–
waves play currents of magic
painting textured light
Inspired by the photos of Phil Gomm, I tried to recreate one of his beautiful fields. I will need to explore this further, and of course, as always, I think it needs some stitching. (I’ll add that in my spare time…)
For Trank Tassone’s #haikai challenge #148 summer meadow.
It’s so unbearably hot here, it’s hard to find much motivation. Con Ed keeps calling to warn me the power might go off due to everyone overloading the grid by using their air conditioners. (I have open windows and 3 fans.) They are promising us a break on Friday.
Whoohoo! I’m so excited by this, Kerfe! 😀 Bring on the stitching!

Thanks Phil. I do want to do more with it, and more painting. Your photos are so magical.

That meadow sounds cool and full of magic breezes.
It is dreadfully hot here, too–yesterday the humidity was awful, too, but I’m thankful for central air. (Though I will not be happy to see the electric bill.) Your apartment must be like an oven.

Thanks Merril. Yesterday was pretty much a wasteland for me in the heat. I can’t take it like I used to. I’m going to try to get something done early today.

I am so much more sensitive to heat now, too.

The colours! This is beautiful, Kerfe. Absolutely luminant. I love fey colours like these when applied to forests and natural settings, I call it fantastical realism, for some reason.

So pretty, K. Your musical accompaniment is perfect. Sting is aging very well ❤

He is. I’ve always loved that song, so it came right to my mind.
