Wherein lies the origin of mystery?
Does any story have an ending
and can any name the place
where all stories begin?
All stories are branches
of The One Story, a circle
retreating and returning
reversing and rewinding
retracing and redirecting
repeating and renewing.
Each sentence orbits and spirals
inside and out again.
Where is the place between
before and after? Is there
even a way to find
the location of no before?
I spiraled off a bit myself from the dVerse prompt from Merril, revolution. Blame it on the heat.
OH wow, Kerfe, this picture is wonderful and the words are going around in my head.

I love this, Kerfe. Well, you know I love circles going through time, too.
I want to start a story or book with this sentence: “and can any name the place
where all stories begin?” 😀

Such beautiful comparisons to the revolutionary concept of time and humanity. This is a lovely piece. Our origin can be a mystery, and stories will go on perpetually. That is the way of humanity, we are natural story tellers. The last stanza is very philosophical as well. Amazing piece.

Thanks Lucy. Yes, we can turn anything into a story.

This has a very mystical feel to it. It seems to me like you have a knack for asking questions that may never have been asked before.

Ha ha! I’ve just finished revising a story and added an intro. Same as your poem!

I believe its the nature of our mysterious universe and mother nature in general. Constantly evolving, repeating and renewing. Love the artwork.

I like this. The more we turn events in our minds the more the elements spiral around and through each other.
