music of my mind

Mention a color, and all kinds of music comes into my mind. Grace at dVerse has us thinking about musical synesthesia. Stevie Wonder has it. It has nothing to do with the vision of your eyes.
I didn’t know Stevie Wonder has this but I can really feel the colours in his music even though I don’t have synesthesia. That explains how he creates that beautiful sound world.

– I like how you brought in off-the-spectrum colours, because I think these are the most beautiful. And I love the coloured moons too!

Thanks Ingrid. I agree about Stevie. The moons are from my photos–I was fooling around in Photoshop. I’ll have to come up with something else to do with them.

You and Ingrid both picked out the colours that we sense otherwise but don’t see.

That’s the kind of color music gives to me. It’s interesting how everyone has their own sense of it–but we all seem to have some associations of color and sound.

Yes, it seems almost logical, whereas coloured numbers aren’t as appealing.

I agree. Music and colors go naturally together. Numbers I see more as shapes.

I didn’t know about Stevie Wonder either, but his music sounds like color (if that makes sense). I can feel/see it, too.

I can easily imagine the mind wandering in different directions while taking in the moon. To have those thoughts be a spectrum is fitting.
