I love your poem and art! And it’s just how I’ve been feeling–“wings listening for ancient springs.” ❤️
I haven’t heard owls, but the birds have been so busy–this morning at the river, the crows were so active and noisy
After Jane was talking about all her spring flowers, I went outside yesterday and saw that some of our spring bulbs actually are just starting to poke out of the ground.
In this case, it’s old artwork. I work both ways. And sometimes simultaneously. I don’t always have time to do art, so I often look through the archives. And sometimes I do art and only later fit words to it. Or I may do art for a poem and then change the poem because of the art.
I love your painting! And the Oracle’s words are so well suited to your theme.

Thanks! Hopefully tomorrow’s snow will be the last one. The birds do seem to think it’s time to move on, anyway.

I haven’t see that here yet, but then, I haven’t been out much lately.

All those ancient springs waiting to be remembered. This one is there, waiting for the birds to sing it.

It is. The Oracle is obviously looking forward to spring as much as we are.

She likes Brigid. I couldn’t get past the red goddess words though I did try.

Kerfe,
do you paint these works after writing the poems? Or find paintings that suit the poems after you write them?
