bare branches
so still
they turn to stone
and skip across

rearranging
crosscurrents–
altering

The NaPoWriMo prompt for Day 18 is to “write a poem based on the title of one of the chpaters from Susan G. Wooldridge’s Poemcrazy: Freeing Your Life with Word“. I chose “bending light”.

It’s like another dimension. Nice creation of spacy atmosphere.

Thanjs Jade. It’s a strange poem. I can feel what I wanted to convey, but the words for it were slippery.

My take is the tree is stationary but it moves in the ripples of the water? That may be way off, and I’m not sure what the metaphor would be. It has a mystical spacy feel to it for me.

Great to see you! I’m in the final stages of yet another move, but otherwise good. What a year! Actually several years for me, but the changes are settling down, I think, finally.

I like that observation. One material transforming into another depending on how we look at it.

The way we observe bare branches (or anything) in different light or as reflections. Yes, so true.
