the day lost–where did it go? did it depart or disappear?
what summons took it away, left us hanging in empty wind?–
scattering bits of sanity like lost laundry, unflown birds
The prompt for NaPoWriMo Day 20 is to write a sijo.

The only thing I unpacked today after the movers left was the computer. I know I’m behind on reading posts, but will try to catch up in the next week.

Ah! Didn’t see that sijo was a prompt. It packs a wallop in just a few words.

It does. It requires careful thought with word choice, like Japanese forms.

Excellent, Kerfe. I haven’t heard of a sijo before.

Thanks Robbie. It’s new to me as well.

Ahh, you are all moved already! You’re a flown bird! 🙂 Nothing lost, you’ll catch it all up. This is so beautiful, art and words.

Thanks Manja. I’m surrounded by boxes…first I need to find the food!

I really like this. I haven’t been so impressed by some of this form, but I really like how you did this–the questioning and the imagery. Perfect words and art pairing, too.
Congratulations on the move! Good luck with the unpacking.

Thanks Merril. When I read the form’s description, I thought immediately of a question. But it took awhile to put together. Deceptively simple.

I hope the move went ok Kerfe. I kind of wish today would go by a bit faster!

The move itself went pretty smoothly. Getting unpacked and organized is a different story. It will take some time.

Oh that’s the worst isn’t it? We moved 3 months ago and it’s still a work in progress.
