I found this painting/collage the other day–I know I’ve used it before, but I thought it would be useful for something else, so I saved it in my ideas space. When I read the Oracle’s message this morning, it seemed like she knew ahead of time where it belonged.
recall the dreamlight
time as a living being
shadows shining through the raw sky
did what you thought
you never needed
show you how
to still the stormcry
into moonships singing
the language of seaforests?
a thousand whispered wings
So beautiful!
You, Jane, and I all wrote moon poems today–full of whispers, dreams, and shadows.

Also, I forgot to say that your painting/collage makes me think of Redon. It’s beautiful, too.

I jumped into the Oracle this Saturday, as well. Merril says we all channeled the moon and music! I did too. I love this line: “to still the stormcry into moonships singing the language of seaforests? a thousand whispered wings…” ❤

I love it how everything happens just in time if we get out of the way. I like “stormcry”, and “moondrunk”.

Thanks Manja. That’s true, we can be our own worst enemies. The Oracle likes those composite words.

Beautiful evocative language. And another image that reminds me of Redon’s barque. Am I primed to recall Redon? Or is the resemblance actually there? Either way, marvelous combinations of picture and word-pictures.

Thanks Aletha. I do like Redon, and Jane and Merril often use his boats to illustrate their poetry, so it could have been there subliminally for sure.

Thanks Robbie. I have a storage room full of old art. I’ll leave it to my daughters to figure out what to do with it…
