Why must we always quantify? 4, 3, 10. Add, subtract, multiply. Divide.
My prose poem, Aggregated, based on a painting by Hilma af Klint, was among those selected as a finalist in The Ekphrastic Review Women Artists contest. You can read the entire poem and see all the finalists here. The three winning selections are here.

What a fantastic field of entrants this time around I enjoyed seeing the art that was chosen and the impressions of it. I like the poem above yours writing to the same piece very much. Congratulations on being one of the chosen ones, Kerfe. Your poem is from a daoist perspective and resonates with me.

Congratulations Kerfe! This recognition is so well deserved 🙂 I don’t know why we must always try to quantify everything. This reminds me of a favourite Blake quote: ‘Can Wisdom be put in a silver rod?
Or Love in a golden bowl?’

That’s a great quote. Blake is a rich source of both words and images. Thanks.

Thanks Sanaa. Her art is wonderful–I was lucky to see it exhibited at the Guggenheim a few years ago.
