Oh, I love this one—the lightship of dreams. Perfect.
I’m sorry you’re not sleeping though. It’s hard to function without enough sleep, or disturbed sleep.
Maybe it’s a sign of aging, but the state of ‘being off’ seems to be the usual one these days. There is so much more to be sad about and less hope that things will get better.
Most people I know don’t sleep very well these days. Part of our disconnect from our natural rhythms maybe. Modern life is pretty artificial. That’s not a judgement, just a fact.
I’m sorry you had another sleepless night. The Oracle truly does know everything.

Thanks Jane. I’m just generally off at the moment. Sooner or later it will turn itself around.

is insomnia a problem you’ve had for a long time, Kerfe?

It comes and goes. Usually one of my tricks works, but last night was just one of those nights.

My mom struggles with that too.

I feel your pain – I’m troubled a lot with insomnia lately. The lightship of dreams sounds ideal!

Thanks Manja. It’s a recurring issue, but I always bounce back.

Oh dear, Kerfe, I am sorry you are battling to sleep. A well written poem about it.

Thanks Robbie. It happens occasionally. Hopefully tonight I’ll be so tired I won’t have any problems.

(since it plagues me, too) ~

Thanks M. I wonder if it has always been so, or if it’s a modern plague. I know few people who sleep well.
