My message from the Oracle.
ask for magic–
vast voices to slow
the decay of time
open your sails and dance
with the ghosts flowering
in foolish joy
when a child is born
remember to breathe
as if the dark holes in this universe
were cups filled with stars

That is so gorgeous! Those last lines, tremendous!
Our poems aren’t alike. Mine was strangely precise this time.

Thanks Jane. I see a thread, the voice–the magic song. I hope the world finds it before it’s too late.

Yes, some have given up hope, but there are still the stars.

Thanks Alethea. The Oracle was very insistent on that cup of stars.

HI Kerfe, this is very pretty. I wondered if you would like to be my June guest for my Treasuring Poetry series. If you are interested please email me at sirchoc@outlook.com

Thanks Robbie. That’s so nice of you to think of me. Although I enjoy reading about other poets, I prefer for my work to speak for itself. But I appreciate the invitation.

I’m with everyone here vibrating with that last stanza. In fact I wrote them out and put them on my altar since I’m needing just that mantra these days. This spring is putting my mettle to the test.
