Another stark message from the Oracle. But she also reminds us that even from inside what seems sometimes like endless darkness we can work for change.
with what shadow whisper
could the goddess soar
the skyship through this sea
of raw blood tongues
that scream only in the language
of me?
it is never too late
to ask why
after must be like before
sing as if you were one with moontime–
shining light into these black waters
of stilled life of a thousand unmet needs
“Beware of greedy leaders…they take you where you should not go.”
It does seem like there is some hope or light in the darkness, if only–
“it is never too late
to ask why
after must be like before
sing as if you were one with moontime”

I have to believe we can make at least a little difference. Thanks Merril.

Ah, you put your finger on a great mystery there. Or the Oracle did. Whatever we do, whatever we claim we want to change, we always end up with a new version of the same old.

It does seem that way doesn’t it? Thanks Jane.

Excellent, Kerfe. The image at the top is a perfect mish-mash for that sense of doomed anomie. The remedy recipe brings direct relief. Also you know how I feel about Geo. This may be his most important message to the world. Either that or “Here Comes the Sun.”

Thanks Jade. This is one of George’s greatest. He saw through the webs of lies.

You’re welcome, and yes, he did. You know how he always seemed so clumsy? I think it was something he did to put people at ease, either consciously or subconsciously.

I never thought about it, but it could be.

Such a powerful message, Kerfe. This stanza is amazing! I’m struck by the truth of your statement verse.
“with what shadow whisper
could the goddess soar
the skyship through this sea
of raw blood tongues
that scream only in the language
of me?”

Right? I try not to let it bring me down, but it seeps into my writing too.

I try to stay optimistic as well. Any little thing we can do on the positive side helps I think.

Agreed. There’s enough strife in the world.
